Eisenhorn: Hereticus

Author: Dan Abnett
Genre: Sci-Fi detective

Overall it was a good book. The author focused more on characters feelings and emotions rather than combat scenes. Nevertheless, there were plenty of gruesome fights and actions. Personally I would say the first and the second books were more interesting and entertaining than the third book was. But then everybody needs a closure to everything, right?

Specially I liked the ending, it was very mystical and open. So please enjoy your reading if you have or going to buy/purchase Eisenhorn: Hereticus.

The second installation to Eisenhorn trilogy. A very well written piece. I enjoyed it very much. Hopefully, the third part would be as good as the second.
Loads of action, more complex characters and plot. 4 stars.

A very good piece of literature. For some it is a waste of time and money, but for me and for those who enjoy reading about Warhammer 40k Universe it is a must have book. Sometimes I ask myself from what does Dan Abnett get his idea about Warhammer 40k World? I guess authors have their own way of inspiration, unlike me mere ordinary reader who only admires someone's work.
Anyways, the book is about an inquisitor who fights for Imperium of Mankind, protects subjects of the Imperium by his will and dedication. Alas, the mission is impossible, work is enldess for one man, thus he has his companions-loyal and fearless.
The book is purely an entertainment. Highly recommended to everyone who likes Warhammer 40k.

This is my first Warhammer 40k book that I bought. I was really pulled into it. If you haven't heard anything about Warhammer 40k, then you should start reading "Let the galaxy burn". If you like it, the you will like the rest of the series and adds.

The Ultramarines! The most honored chapter in the world of W40K (at least in my opinion).

Third installment of the famous Horus Heresy series. One of the must have books.

Having recovered from his grievous injuries, Warmaster Horus leads the triumphant Imperial forces against the rebel world of Isstvan III. Though the rebels are swiftly crushed, Horus's treachery is finally revealed when the planet is razed by virus bombs and Space Marines turn on their battle-brothers in the most bitter struggle imaginable.

The second book of the Horus Heresy. Pretty well written piece of literature!

The great Crusade that has taken humanity into the stars continues. The Emperor of Mankind has handed the reins of command to his favoured son, the Warmaster Horus. Yet all is not well in the armies of the Imperium. Horus is still battling against the jealousy and resentment of his brother primarchs and, when he is injured in combat on the planet Davin, he must also battle his inner daemons. With all the temptations that Chaos has to offer, can the weakened Horus resist?

The fourth book.

Having witnessed the terrible massacre of Imperial forces on Isstvan III, Death Guard Captain Garro seizes a ship and sets a course to Terra to warn the Emperor of Horus's treachery. But when the fleeing Eisenstein is damaged by enemy fire, it becomes stranded in the warp-the realm of the Dark Powers. Can Garro and his men survive the depredations of Chaos and get his warning to the Emperor before Horus's plans reach fruition?

A bit boring. A monotonous story, otherwise answers to many questions that came up.

News of Horus's treachery is in the open, and a time of testing has come. As Horus deploys his forces, loyalist Astartes learn that the Wordbearers are sending a fleet to Ultramar, home of Ultramarines. Unless they can intercept  and destroy it, the Ultramrines may suffer a blow from which they will never recover.

Clearly, this book is about Mars. I guess, it is the only book (so far) that describes Mars in more detail.

As the flames of treachery spread outwards through the Imperium, Horus mobilises those forces who are loyal to him, and plots to subvert or destroy those who stand against him. A battle is being fought for the heart and soul of all the Imperial forces-the Astartes, the Imperial Army, the Titan Legions and more.

One of the favorite books. A splendid one.

This is kind of awkward book. But it does kill time pretty easily.

"Ciaphas Cain:Hero of the Imperium"  was pleasure to read. If you are familiar with Warhammer 40k and interested in this fictional world, then I believe you would also enjoy this installment!
